No. We do not conduct or support animal testing of any kind. Nor have we allowed others to perform animal testing on our behalf.

We believe animal testing does not reliably predict results in human beings, and advancements in science have created alternative testing methods that can replace the need for animals. We will never resell our products in countries where animal testing is mandatory.

Our products are botanically based and contain zero animal or insect-derived ingredients. We are committed to animal protection on every level; we use no animal by-product in our formulas. As they offer no benefit in comparison with plant-based ingredients. Our current formulations contain no beeswax, honey, cochineal, or lanolin.

Our products are not USDA Certified Organic. We know this may be very important to many consumers and we can appreciate this; however, we do have a strong preference for wildcrafted ingredients. We strive to formulate with as many organic and responsibly wildcrafted, ingredients as possible. For your convenience, all organic, wildcrafted and plant-based ingredients can be identified by the asterisk symbol on the back of all product cartons.

Our formulas contain no fillers, synthetic fragrances, or artificial dyes. These ingredients have no skin health benefits and can weaken and irritate many skin conditions.

Most of our facial products are neutral in scent or contain natural aromatic extracts, which act as functional ingredients to support the skin’s healing and rejuvenation.

Our products are formulated using plant-based, nature-identical, skin-identical ingredients. Every ingredient is purposeful and works to improve the skin directly or to support the integrity of the formulation as a whole.

Where preservatives may appear, they are used at reasonably low percentages. For example, an oil-based or bone-dry product usually will not require preservation. However, a proper preservative system should accompany any presence of water in a cosmetic; this is used to protect the integrity and performance of the product, most notably to protect the public from potential harm.

The average shelf life of our products is 12 months. However, for optimal results, our products should be used within 6-9 months.

Each box displays a jar icon next to the company information. This symbol will identify the product’s PAO (Period After Opening), which indicates how many months your product will be most effective once opened. For more information, please refer to the back panel of the product packaging.

We highly recommend you keep your products in a cool place, out of direct light. Store products away from heat and always confirm caps are on tight. If you are taking a break from a product, refrigeration is advised. Proper storage will help maintain shelf life and stability.

Except for Skin Soil, all our formulas contain living organisms and have been minimally processed. They include no chemical enhancers and as a result, may separate or sediment on standing.

Our products are developed for optimal performance, and some formulas may contain fatty alcohols which are non-drying and non-irritating substances. Learn more about on these types of ingredients.

We do not offer a proper SPF product at the moment; however, many customers enjoy using Symmetry Fluid under their current SPF for enhanced protection. Research studies have proven that daily topical application of vitamin C reduces UVB-induced erythema and sunburn cell formation. We highly recommend our customers invest in a proper SPF product for everyday use.

We have developed each product to be completely gender neutral. All of our products contain highly beneficial ingredients designed to be equally effective for every human being regardless of their sex, gender, or gender expression.

All of our products are pregnancy-safe, except for Sculpture + A and Stellar Restoration, which contain both "Vitamin A" and should not be used if you are currently pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. In addition, we advise our customers to consult with their physician before using any new skincare product.

At the moment our goal is to make products suitable for most skin types. However, some products are designed to address particular skin conditions and areas of concern. We intend to develop more skin specific formulas in the future. Except for Stellar Restoration, all KLUR products are for suitable for most skin conditions. For additional information, we recommend you refer to the individual product page or click read more.

Every substance within nature posses a different allergic potential, (i.e., dust, pollen, spices, nuts, plants, etc.), and it is possible to have an allergic reaction to almost anything the body recognizes as a foreign substance. However, an allergic reaction to KLUR products is extremely rare and quite uncommon. If you suspect sensitivity to a product or ingredient, we highly suggest conducting a patch test by applying a pea-size amount behind your ear. Spread the product outward to cover a quarter size area and wait 24 hours. If you experience redness, itchiness, or irritation, the percentage of active botanicals may be too high for your skin. In this case, we recommend you immediately stop using it the product.

Gentle Matter was not specifically formulated as an eye makeup remover. However, we have found that most of our customers find it non-irritating and gentle enough to use around the eye area. If you so choose to use Gentle Matter around the eyes, we advise you not apply it directly to eyes, instead dilute it with tepid water and use a soft wet towel and wipe away residue. 

Gentle Matter should fall between a pH of 5.3-5.7. One should note that the use of at-home pH strips will not always ensure the most accurate reading.

As with all KLUR products, Gentle Matter is free of sodium lauryl sulfate, fragrance, colorants, stripping agents, and irritating surfactants.

Brilliant Light is a skin strengthening and brightening treatment, specially designed to gently support an even tone and efficiently address concerns of dullness and in some cases will help control excess oil production.

Brilliant Light is formulated with a neutral pH of 7.5-7.9 which is the proper pH for the type of vitamin C used; this allows superior compatibility for both your skin and the formula. For more information refer to "About Vitamin C" in the ingredients section.

There is no harm in using the product every day, but it is not necessary. Daily use does not equate rapid results. Once applied and absorbed, vitamin C will remain in the skin for approximately 72 hours. We highly suggest you begin using the product every other day, which is entirely adequate.

Brilliant Light is highly adaptable and is formulated to be used either day or night; however, for the first seven days of use, we would suggest starting with evening or nightly use until your skin adjusts.

Our formulations containing vitamin C do not cause redness, flaking, or irritation commonly associated with other vitamin C treatments. Some customers may feel a slight tingle—this is to be expected and will subside within a few seconds.

Yes. This application method applies to all KLUR serums. Each can be layered under makeup and will not interfere with the wearability of your beauty products. Our serums are formulated to absorb on contact and leave behind no oily or sticky, or excess residue on the surface of the skin; therefore, they can easily be incorporated into your daily skincare regimen.

Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP 20%). This formula is gentle on skin and absorbs immediately. The natural fluctuation of this product means it will range from champagne to a transparent golden amber appearance.

Although both vitamins are master antioxidants and each is required for overall skin health, they are entirely different vitamins. Each possesses a unique molecular profile and performs entirely different functions, within our formulas and in the skin. It is invaluable to use both vitamins if your goal is to establish an incredibly effective skincare routine.

Congestion is highly unlikely with the use of this product. Immersion is an oil-free hydration concentrate, formulated in a base of green tea water and organic aloe juice. These anti-inflammatory humectants have a zero comedogenic rating and do not accelerate oil production or congest skin, making it highly suitable for all skin types.

Immersion was not created to replace your daily moisturizer. The primary function of this product is to provide intense hydration and protect skin from dehydration by encouraging water retention at a cellular level. Individuals with oily or combination conditions may find that it offers the right amount of moisture due to the high concentration of hyaluronic acid.

We suggest that persons, with dry skin, mix a 1-2 of drops of Immersion with an appropriate facial oil or layer it with a moisturizer to seal in the hydration; this minor enhancement not only results in superior oil-and water-balance in the skin but also stretches the product for additional uses.

Retinol is the purest and most active form of vitamin A. It is a well-established skincare ingredient backed by 50 + years of scientific research. It is well-documented for delivering multiple benefits and long-term visible improvements in skin health. Retinol is known to help tackle fine lines, wrinkles, and smooth skin creases; we consider it to be vital for optimal skin health.

Once retinol is applied to the skin, it goes through a two-step conversion process. Step one: Retinol is converted to retinaldehyde. Step two: Then retinoic acid; at this point, the nutrient can bind to cell receptors and utilize the active form of vitamin A. 

Other reasons why we consider vitamin A to be invaluable:

Liposomes are tiny delivery vessels; made from lipids that carry active ingredients directly into the skin.

First used in pharmaceuticals, liposomes have gained popularity in the cosmetics industry because their unique molecular construction allows them to mimic skin structure and penetrate the top layers of the barrier to deliver their contents and specific skincare benefits.

We use liposomal technology in Sculpture + A , Stellar Restoration and Unseasonal Kind, which performs remarkably well to enhance ingredient stability, improve product performance, and increase skin penetration.

You might be familiar with older retinol formulations that quickly disperse an excess of the active ingredient into the skin, thus causing sensitivity, irritation, and skin discomfort, making it difficult to commit to long-term use.

To address these challenges, we formulate only with micro-encapsulated retinol which offers excellent compatibility and stabilization within the liposome delivery system. The liposomal encapsulation imparts a slow release into the skin and penetrates deeper over an extended period; this means similar results to non-encapsulated retinol without inflammation, irritation, and dehydration.

Another distinct advantage of micro-encapsulation is that it protects the integrity of active ingredients. Like an egg, the core active material is fully coated in a micro-encapsulated polymer sphere and isolated from the external elements. As a result, the active ingredient; in this case vitamin A is completely stabilized, and shielded from the outside environment and potential oxidation.

This technology allowed our chemist to build a resilient formula without the formulation and packaging challenges of traditional retinol.

Skin Soil is a non-aggressive physical/mechanical exfoliator for face and neck. A semi-round particle structure provides tender exfoliation while rice-powder gently polishes the skin's surface to facilitate penetration of topicals.

No. All ingredients present in Skin Soil are from biodegradable sources, all of which are environmentally friendly alternatives to synthetic micro-beads.

The frequency of use mainly depends on your skin's density/thickness. Most of our customers are comfortable with exfoliation 1-2 times a week. For a lighter exfoliation, use fingers, not palms. Do not overly or aggressively exfoliate added pressure will not enhance results. Be gentle and pay extra attention to creating an even application and distribution of the product. Skin Soil is a mechanical/physical exfoliator and should not be pushed into the skin but instead gently swept around the surface of face and neck.

Skin Soil can be mixed with water or with a gentle cleanser of your choosing. For best results, we recommend using a water-or aloe-based gel cleanser; this will allow the water-soluble ingredients in the product to evenly dissolve within the gel creating an overall better application.

This potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent halts environmental damage and is a suitable staple for all skin types.

No. On the contrary, when plant lipids in the formula meet human sebum, a marvelous connection happens. Skin cells are protected and nourished by the products botanical content, not irritated. It is extremely rare for a client to report skin sensitivities to any of our products.

Stellar Restoration is a new generation vitamin A formula. It is an extremely beneficial anti-blemish, clarifying, age-intervention, and dermal repair treatment in the form of a thin, easily absorbed, serum. This unique formula has been specifically formulated for our clients who have problematic skin conditions in need of correction, clarity, and micro-texture repair. 

Depending on your skin's condition, we suggest starting 2-3 nights a week and building up from there depending on your skin tolerance.

Yes. On the nights when Stellar Restoration is not applied, Skin Soil is an excellent option for light physical exfoliation. However, Stellar Restoration naturally exfoliates the skin, and we discourage exfoliating on the nights that Stellar Restoration is applied.

For reliable and consistent results, Stellar Restoration should be applied and left on the skin overnight. However, should you wish to use this serum during the day, we suggest it be used only as a spot treatment directly on to the area of concern.

Begin with a  gentle and thorough cleansing of your skin. Follow with a toner or a drop of facial oil, wait for complete absorption. Then press 3-6 drops of Stellar Restoration into skin avoiding under eye area essentially focusing on areas of most concern. Then finish with creme or facial oil of choice. Use an SPF during the day.

Stellar Restoration should be used alone; this treatment should not be mixed or layered with other forms of vitamin A or acids. We highly discourage all exfoliation before application. If you are new to retinol, try buffering the serum with two drops of Immersion.
